Al Limone is a two floor, stone-built villa beautifully situated in Castelvecchio Pascoli, and lovingly restored by the owner.
Castelvecchio Pascoli (4km from Barga and 2km from Albiano) is the hamlet where one of the most important Italian poets, Giovanni Pascoli decided to spend the last part of his life. Pascoli's home is located just a 1/2 km from Al Limone and can be accessed for tours using and ancient village trail that runs behind the villa. It's a quite an enchanting place. (n walking distance, there is a bank, cafe, and a news agent. There is also a small general store across the main street (they speak English, Italian, and German) that has a nice selection of fresh vegetables, meats, bread and cheese.
The house is on two levels with a bright, airy open plan living area on the upper floor with fantastic views to the Apuan Alps through large arched windows, while the bottom floor has 2 bedrooms, beautiful bathroom and level entry to the garden sitting area. There are terracotta tiles and beamed ceilings throughout.
The Upper Floor
The kitchen features a large, modern fridge freezer, stove and a dishwasher. There is a large dinner table with beautiful views of the Apuane Alps and Monte Forato thru an arched stone window. The sitting area is beautifully decorated with plenty of seating and an open fireplace. And a wooden spiral staircase leading to the lower floor.

The Lower Floor
There are two beautifully-furnished bedrooms and a shower room (the large box shower includes hydro massage and sauna). One bedroom is quite large and has a double bed and the second can be arranged double/single or with a bunk beds plus an additional pull-out bed below. If needed an extra single bed con be provided in the living area. There is a large south-facing private garden to the front and side of the house which can be accessed directly from both bedrooms via patio doors. A washing machine and drying rack is conveniently located in an attached room.

The Gardens
The garden area to the front is lawned with outside dining table with umbrella, lounge chairs for relaxing and features two large lemon trees at the border and other smaller ones. The garden areas can be accessed from both the upper and lower floors. From the gardens the views of Monte Forato and the arch at Monte Forato are magnificient.
Parking is convenient and located a short walk below the villa.

Swimming Pool
As a guest of Al Limone you will have access to the newly constructed beautiful panoramic swimming pool available to the Albiano holiday district guests. It's just 2kms far from the VIlla.
